Everybody met at the church for some carpooling around 6:30, then we all drove towards Anchorage, then to Girdwood for some snacks and drinks. Then we completed the journey to the trailhead. Everybody got their coats and raingear on, covered their backpacks, and headed up the trail. We hiked for about 2 or three hours until we got to the lunch site, where we stopped for about half an hour to have lunch, then we kept on hiking. We got to the cabin at around 3:15, for some much earned rest, and to wet up our campsites. We stayed in the cabin for most of the night due to the weather, eating, cooking, and drying our clothes off. Everybody lastly got ready for bed, and headed out to their sleeping bags. The next day, everybody got up at their own time, and had breakfast. Some scouts left about 8:30 to get back early for homework, and the others stayed until around 12:00, when everybody packed up and headed out. We got to the lunch site, had lunch, left, and got passed by Mr. Haugh, who left around 1:00. We hiked the last two miles, drove to Girdwood again for more snacks, went to the church, gave gear back for cleaning and drying, then went home for nice baths and long naps.
Best Part of the Event:
The scenery.
Worst Part of the Event: It was
raining and windy.
