On a cold Saturday evening in October three boy scouts achieved the highest rank in scouting. The three boys that received the Eagle Scout rank were Jason A. Smith, Travis Duft, and Robert Berkheiser. Everyone arrived at 6:00 pm for super and chatted until 7:00 pm. The formal ceremony began roughly at 7:30pm and ended at about 9:00.

Jason Smith

Jason started his scouting career in 1996 at Homestead Elementary School in Eagle River as a Tiger Cub in Pack 224. In July 2002 Jason joined Troop 219. He served as the Quartermaster and Troop Scribe.

Robert Berkheiser

Robbie began his scouting career in September, 1998 in San Antonio, Texas. As a member of Pack 940, Robby earned Bobcat, Wolf, Bear and Webelos ranks. Robby crossed over to Troop 940 in February 2001. Robby moved to Eagle River in September, 2001 and joined Troop 219 in January 2002.

Travis Duff

Travis began in scouting in 1998 at Homestead Elementary School in Eagle River as a Tiger Cub in Pack 224. He was awarded the Arrow of Light award in March, 1999 at which time he joined Troop 219. Travis served as a Patrol Leader and Senior Patrol Leader.


Best Part of the Event: The Eagle response given by Jason, Travis, and Robby.
