We started out from the church on the eleventh, heading for Oilwell Road. When we got there, we packed the canoes, waited for the drivers, the pushed off. We set up camp on a gravel bar we found along the way . The next morning we took camp down, and got ready for a day of floating. We found a beaver dam that had been breeched along the way, which was fun. We saw many fish, though none were caught, and some eagles. We stopped for lunch, then floated until we found our next camp. It was starting to rain pretty heavily, so we set up tarps and parafoils first. We had dinner, then went to bed. The next morning, we got up and floated along until we came to the Y at Kroto Creek, where we camped for two days. It was still raining, and when we woke up the next morning, the water had risen a couple feet! We got lots of firewood for a fire, and Eric, Josh, and Jon went for a swim across the river. We went to bed, and again, the water rose up even more! We took camp down, then off we floated, down the river, until we came to another gravel bar at the confluence with Trapper Creek, where we bedded down and slept. The next morning we got up, with hopes that this would be our last day. We finally made it to the weir, and then to the lodge, where we got picked up by the boat, and we sped to the Deshka Landing from there, packed everything up and went home for nice warm showers and some well earned sleep.
