When we arrived, we set up our tents and snow shelters. We cooked dinner, then had some time to go play a game out in the parking lot before everyone went to bed. When we got up the next morning, we had breakfast, then gathered our gear up for fire building, snowshoe racing, and other events. We arrived and started with the Snowshoe race. Congratulations to those who competed in that event. We took 32 seconds in our fire building contest, which placed us in second at the end of the day. We were beaten by one second in the obstacle course. Once that was all over, it was the moment everyone had been waiting for. Time to go to Alpenglow! (The Alpenglow Sledding, skiing, and snowboarding hill, not the school.) When we were done there, we headed back down to Otter Lake for the awards ceremony and scout service. Again, congratulations to all who competed in the Freezeree events. Then we went back to camp, and since nobody was sleeping in a tent that night, we all started working on our snowshelters. There were one or two quinceys, (A quincey is just a big hollowed out pile of snow, somewhat like an igloo without the blocks of ice.) two people in snow trenches, one person sleeping under the stars, and two people in a bush. We woke up the next morning, glad to get out of the shelters, ate, apcked up, and went home.

Best Part of the Event: We won three medals and went to an awesome sledding hill!
Worst Part of the Event: It was cold.
