Event Title: Winter Freezoree 2008
Date of Event: February 15-17, 2008
Location: Otter Lake, Fort Richardson, AK
 Responsible Person: Mr. Wilder

Person(s) Completing Report: Bruce Hopper
Person(s) posting to web: Bruce Hopper

This Freezoree was a great experience for the scouts in terms of winter survival skills and emergency shelter preparation.  The first night out dipped to -7 F so it reinforced a lot of the skills the scouts already knew; keep clothes dry, fire building, the importance of proper gear and keeping hydrated.  The next day gradually warmed to +20 accompanied by a stiff breeze and snow.

Best Part of the Event: the abundance of snow
Worst Part of the Event: It was cold outside.
Scoutmaster/Asst Scoutmaster Comments: A big thanks to Mr. Duft, Mr. Casper, Mr. McGimsey and Mr. Hopper..
