News Update for November 2007

• Scout meeting Sunday 4 November @ 7:00PM...Service Patrol-Golden Eagles.
• We're getting a jump on 2008 recharter / BSA registration:  Scouts pay $43 & all registered adults pay $11.  Please see Christina Cady [Troop Treasure] to register early...cash, check, or scout account. 
• Please bring in your wreath numbers "so-far" to Sunday's Scout meeting.  We need to plot the numbers/strategies to see how were doing to meet our goal of 750 wreaths this year.
• Please bring back any camporee gear [tents, parawings, lugs, dutch ovens, Ect...] at this Sunday's meeting and turn them into the Quartermaster.  Let your Patrol Leader & Quartermaster know what's missing from the lugs or any repairs needed for tents , fly's, & equipment.  Attached is the Patrol equipment CK list when inventorying the lugs.
• The Fall Camporee was an overall success for Troop 219 & The Great Alaska Council...thanks to ALL who made it happen.
• If you owe camporee money, please pay Mrs. Christina Cady $20.  If you need to collect for patrol food purchased, also see Christina Cady [Troop Treasure].
• Several Scouts have accumulated points towards their GAC 100-200 below award: Crescent Lake hike = 4pts, Eklutna Fall Camporee = 11pts   (15pts)......
• Troop 219 Christmas Party /  Court of Honor is scheduled for Saturday December 15 @ Camp Gorsuch Lodge from 12-4PM...mark your calendars.
• Upcoming Events:  Sled building, snowshoe making, rocket building & launch.  Get with Mr. Jeff Duft to order your snowshoe kits, rocket kits & motors NOW! 
• Summer Camp registration is just around the corner.  Here is the information/web-link on resident "Lost Lake" Boy Scouts Camp in Fairbanks/Midnight Sun Council.  The summer camp is only run for two consecutive weeks in July.  This is definitely an option for our troop this summer.  Please give me your feedback.  The scouts will soon be voting on where they would like to go...Camp Gorsuch or Lost Lake.  Gorsuch registration starts in December.
